June 16 the Black Sea Arts Festival is pleased to present bright Ukrainian artists at cultural center Faber.
Artists themselves are guides and mediators. They feel the changes more acutely, turn them into works of art and convey their messages to a wide audience. Ukrainian artists have been in the epicenter of events since last year. And thanks to the global attention focused on the war in Ukraine, the voice of Ukrainian artists sounds louder than ever. That is why we invited recognized Ukrainian artists with whom we already had a positive experience of cooperation: Lilia Liutko, Alexander Krolikowski and Lena Pogrebnaya. And we also invited new ones to support as many artists as possible: Volodymyr and Tetiana Bakhtov, Lucy Nychai, Oleksandra Pavlovska, Svitla Volka, Dmytro Dokunov, Pavel Shpylovoi, Serhiy Dyadko/Gydravlik. Another criterion for the selection of artists was their experience of participating in international projects in Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Romania and Greece.
Since 2016 the Black Sea Arts Festival brings under the same umbrella artists from Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Georgia, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Republic of Moldavia.
Within the framework of the Black Sea Arts Festival our priorities always where: integration and exchange of experience as a way to mutual understanding, establishing powerful friendships and working relationships. Some of the countries on which the festival is focused (Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Russia) are currently involved in military or civil conflicts or are on the verge of such conflicts.
